Annual Open Enrollment
The Trust holds an open enrollment period for all eligible employees other than substitute teachers prior to February 1 (which is the beginning of each plan year). During the open enrollment period, you have the opportunity to change your medical benefit elections and add or drop dependents. The elections you make during annual open enrollment take effect February 1 and continue through the following January 31.
The open enrollment period for substitute teachers is conducted in September with the elections made being effective October 1. The election is effective October 1 and will continue through until the following September 30.
